Quinn started landing front flips. It only took a few tries before he started landing them.

On August 13-15, we participated in the Division 1 Show Ski nationals with the Webfooter Water Ski team. I'm very proud of our kids for there accomplishments and dedication to the sport.
On Thursday, Paris competed in the doubles competition with her partner Ben Romenesko. Ben and Paris are the first couple ever for the Webfooters to compete at the national level. This was also the first year that either of them competed in a doubles competition. So it was with great excitement that we waited through a 2 hour rain delay before the event began.
Paris and Ben had the help of Quinn and Jared Gruetzmacher for a dance intro on the dock, Scott Mogensen driving, Janeen spotting and Daniel Romenesko spotting. The sun just came out as they were ready to perform which is always good to show off the costume glitter. Ben had just sewed on sequins the night before, so we wouldn't want them to be wasted on clouds.
They performed their routine to perfection and it was definitely their best routine. From their state performance, they added a back drape pose landing which would require good balance and precision pin polling. The crowd was encouraging them on through out the whole routine. It was nice to hear so much support.
After the scores were all tallied, Ben and Paris finished 5th. Great job to all involved and can't wait until next year. Planning has already begun for next years routine. www.mindworksphotography.com/pics/pics_bin/thumbnails.asp
Also on this day Quinn performed in the team jump. Quinn has progressed this year that he has been doing helicopters off the ramp and was included in the 3 man helicopter jump.
From state, the jump routine changed a little at the last minute. First over the jump was Kurt Berndt doing a single ski gainer which he nailed. Then over the jump was Quinn with Sam Benjamin and Preston Knapp, they nailed that jump too. Next over the jump was Sam Coenen, Tim Olsen and Mike Betz doing a double helicopter spin with a front flip, they nailed it too. The last sequence of jumps would be Troy Olsen, Rich Taugner and Bob Panter doing their 3 jumps in under a minute routine. Their first jump was flawless, the second jump had one ski come off, so they picked it up and then nailed the third jump. The crowd was excited with the Webfooter members yelling as loud as they could. Matt Baumler was announcing the jump routine and there isn't a better announcer to work the crowd.
Jumpers can't do it all alone they need the help of the boat drivers and spotters. Thanks goes to Scott Mogensen, Janeen, Jonny Dietzen, Amy Gruetzmacher, Jim Woroniecki, Lon King, Rick Coenen, Heath Feavel, Bruce Lenoble and Chris Nielson III.
The jump team took 2nd in the Nation, just missing first by 3 points to Wonder Lake you did a 5 and 6 man front flips. Another first for the Webfooters and the Trumbowers. www.mindworksphotography.com/pics/pics_bin/thumbnails.asp
On Saturday, the whole team competed. We had a rough start with some unusual falls but we pulled it together and finished 4th in the Nation. Through out the show, the kids had individual accomplishment. Quinn's Around the Boat act took 5 boys around the boat with Quinn not even sinking past his ankles. This was a perfected maneuver which helped the team start turning our fortunes around.
Paris was in one of the hardest acts which has a pyramid pulling a pyramid, doubles couple(Paris) and pin wheel jump. Because of the jump, this is a high speed routine, which also increase the danger and difficulty. Another act performed to perfection and a first in a tournament.
So that leaves Sage. Sage is at the age where it can be difficult to find acts for her. She was in conventional doubles with Quinn and Dad was also in the same act. However, Sage learned to climb pyramids this year and was designated to climb in the ending pryamind. The ending pyramid was going to be 3 four high pyramid, another Webfooter first. Unfortunately one of the reminds leads broke the holding pin. Maybe it had to do with Dad being on the lead. :) Anyway, we still had two and one of them was Sages. I've been watching Sage smile all they way up the last few weeks and this tournament wasn't any different. She climbed quickly and happily, holding that fourth tier all the way through the show course. A proud moment for her and us.
It was great weekend with friends, family and the sun.
Ben and Paris's routine,

On September 19, 2009 my cousin, Josh Resie, got married to Jamie Geaks now Jamie Riese. It was at my Aunt Julie’s house. They had rows and rows of chairs. My sister and I handed out programs and then sat in the front row. Jamie’s colors were like a red violet and mocha brown. The only thing that went wrong was that her veil fell off. Other than that it all went good.
The reception was later that night. I went to my grandma’s and the bridal party went bar hopping. We had a table in front of the bridal table. After we, ate we danced. I got to dance with Josh. It was the dollar dance. You had to pay a dollar to dance with the bride or the groom. My family and I left at about 10:30 the DJ ended at 12:00.
The next day she invited everybody over for the opening of gifts and cards. They got a bunch of cards and a few presents. Their parents gave them a 50 inch plasma TV. People swam and ate. It was still a nice day Jamie said.

I got a new cat awhile ago named Skittles. We also call her Meeps. I love her very much.
She looks like a mini bobcat. She has little black lines on her back and face. When she sleeps she sometimes sleeps in a ball shape. She loves to sleep with me. She has a bunch of looks. She makes a look that is so scary, like she is going to eat you alive, but she doesn’t.
When I play with her I take a ball on a string and I swing it in circles. She starts spinning around in circles. It is hilarious. When we play we always chase her around. I get really tired. I have a toy that is a fishing pole and you cast it and then you reel it in. She pounces on the pole and the string starts coming out. I love to play with her.
She doesn’t bite you that much. All she does is nibbles you when she wants to play or if she is hungry. We call her Meeps because instead of a meow she meeps. When she is hungry she is like cakaw!
She is very soft and when my dog licks her she is wet and slimy. My mom has only given her I bath. On the first attempt my mom put balls in the bath and set her down gently. She jump up onto my mom’s arm and then climbed up to her shoulder.
On the second attempt she held her down in the water and started to wash her. Skittles stayed in the tub for the rest of the time. My mom took her out and wrapped her in a towel and she was probably shocked because she didn’t move. When my mom took her out she was still wet and she looked like a wet rat.
One time Skittles was sleeping in my room and we thought she was lost. My mom and I looked for five hours and one of my brother’s friends found her when they came back from an arcade.
I love my cat very much.

When I grow up I want to be a forensic scientist. They are the people solve how someone died, like what killed them.
I think I have to almost know the Periodic Table of the Elements. So far I know Hydrogen is H. Boron is B. Carbon is C. Nitrogen, N. Oxygen, O. Helium, He. Nickel is Ni.
The forensic scientist takes all the evidence and examines it. They take prints to find out who did the crime. For example if a person took a bat and beat the person to death they don’t know who killed the man so they take prints to find out who did or at least get some suspects.
A forensic scientist would have to get a doctor’s degree. The classes they would take are chemistry biology and any other science related stuff.
here is this show on TV called NCIS. There is a gothic girl named Abby on it. She’s my role model. She is a forensic scientist. She is the one who inspired me to be a forensic scientist.

It was early in the morning on February 10th, and Mr. Shea was hard at work, not doing homework but doing work that involves a lot of recycle bins and garbage cans.
There were ceiling tiles and water all over the floor. He had about seven buckets on the floor because a bunch of water was dripping from the ceiling. We didn’t know how much water was behind our cupboards, but Mr. Shea thought there were gallons. Behind our cupboards there was a leak that poured out like a water faucet.
There were two buckets behind the computer. I’m afraid that the water was going to land on the computer and break it.
If the water gets so leaky we might have to go home. I hope we don’t have to go home. It might get better tomorrow.
Mr. Shea put a man in the ceiling. Actually it was a pair of pants with newspaper stuffed so it looked like a man.
The next day it was all better. A lot of people asked why we had a man in the ceiling. We said it was just for fun.
Can you keep a secret? I have a magic carpet in my living room. It’s brown, aqua, orange, green and blue. I have had so many fun adventures on it. I will tell you some. I hope I do not make you fall asleep.
I wanted to be in this cool TV show called The Suite Life of Zack and Cody. I remembered that I had the magic carpet, so I just said that I wanted to go into the show. I got there very quickly. It was amazing!
One time I had a friend over. She heard me talking with my mom about the magic carpet. My friend said to the carpet that she would like to go to France. The carpet would not work because it didn’t recognize her voice. I told her it had to be my family’s voice, so I said I’d download her voice into the carpet.
The day after that my friend and I went to Paris, France. We saw the Mona Lisa in the big art museum. We also went to the Eiffel Tower. Now that was amazing!

Right when Mary Walters looked at it she thought it was the one. It was a book called “The New Mother” but it was horrible. She still needed to find a book report book.
The next day Mary went to the college library. She had to pick a book that mentioned a baby or a child. Her favorite author was Steven Clowskie. She looked in the Steven Clowskie section. She found a book that was titled “Baby Boy”. She picked that one.
The book was about a boy who was born after a thunderstorm. The book told about his life and his job.
“Hmmm? That’s weird. My 13-year-old brother was born after a thunderstorm. Oh well,” she said.
Mary was sitting at her desk and was just zooming with her pencil. She broke five pencils.
Her class had to do a report by the next day. The worst part of the book report was the coloring. The book had no pictures. She started drawing and discovered it wasn’t so hard.
She drew a baby boy, and she drew a big thunderstorm. Next she drew a grown up boy. She also drew a cowboy, because that was his job when he was grown up.
The next day they had to hand in the book report. The teacher graded it, and her report was the best! She got to keep the book.
Mary got home and told her mom. Her mom turned around and said, “I knew you would do well. Your dad wrote that book but put in different names. That book was based on your brother.”
Mary’s dad got home and Mary told her dad all about the book. Her dad was proud of her and knew she would like the book.
They went out to eat because Mary did a wonderful job. They went to Hu Hot. They all thought the food was very good. For dessert they went to Maggie Moo’s.
